Baptisms and Christenings
As a Church, we follow the Baptist practice of only baptising those old enough to understand the significance of baptism – which we see as a public declaration of the individual repenting of his/her sin and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of his/her life. Thus, like many other churches, we do not baptise or “christen” babies. However, we offer a service of thanksgiving for the birth of a child, at which the parents thank God for the safe arrival of the child. Some parents choose to dedicate themselves to bringing up the child within the Christian faith. To arrange, please contact the minister.
Please contact the secretary to make enquiries about a service of marriage or funerals.
